Dr. Kaminetzky has over 20 years in both private and community health center practice. He is an Honors graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and served as Chief Medical Resident of the Einstein/LIJ residency program prior to starting private practice. Previously, he served as the Director of Internal and Specialty Medicine at a New York-based health center. Dr. Kaminetzky is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

As a distinguished Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Shoshana Bacon also serves as Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at CHEMED. She specializes in managing complex medical cases across all age groups, bringing a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to her individualized care. An adept team leader, she inspires her staff to achieve successful outcomes while collaborating with other departments and upgrading standards. With a strong interest in psychiatry and mental health, Dr. Bacon effectively integrates physical health and mental well-being in her practice. A staunch proponent of managing obesity and related disorders, Dr. Bacon employs evidence-based strategies to help patients attain sustainable lifestyle changes.
Dr. Bacon graduated cum laude from Technion Medical Center in Haifa, where she laid the foundation for her stellar medical career. She completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, gaining invaluable experience in treating a diverse patient population. Prior to pursuing her medical career, Dr. Bacon was a NYC Teaching Fellow, obtaining a Master's degree in Education while teaching high school science within the New York City Board of Education. This educational background has deeply influenced her approach to patient care, as she is passionate about educating her patients. Always at the forefront of cutting-edge care, Dr. Bacon researches and incorporates the latest advances in her field. Dr. Baruch Kassover, maintained a very popular practice in the Long Island area for many years. He has served in a variety of capacities in Maimonides Medical Center and Long Beach Medical Center. Dr Baruch Kassover is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Baruch Kassover is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Jacob (Yakov) Scutaru MD is one of our new physicians. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He attended medical school at the Technion in Israel and completed his residency at SBH in The Bronx and went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Rochester. Prior to CHEMED, he was the Medical Director of Infectious Diseases at Trillium Health in Rochester.
At CHEMED, Dr. Scutaru provides both primary care and outpatient ID consultations.

Dr. Victor Newman, has served as an attending Emergency Room physician at prestigious medical centers including Staten Island University Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center. He was the Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine at Parkview Hospital in Philadelphia, and was on the Quality Assurance team at Maimonides. His expertise includes an unusually broad scope of experience as well as the unique perspective of a veteran Emergency Room physician.

Dr Shua-Haim is an accomplished geriatrician and researcher, specializing in Alzheimer's disease. He completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital and is geriatrics fellowship training a NYU hospital. Dr Shua-Haim was the program director of Jersey Shore's geriatric medical fellowship program. He is also an attending physician at Community Medical Center. Dr Shua-Haim has collaborated on multiple clinical trails and has published many Alzheimer's studies.

Dr. Gill is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician. She is a graduate of St James school of medicine and completed her medical residency training at Loyola University Medical Center- Mercy Chicago Program. Prior to completing her MD, she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern British Columbia, Canada, and worked in a range of clinical areas, including Public Health, Hospital medicine and Geriatrics. She has a special focus and training in working with underserved communities.

PA Gallagher has been a certified PA since 2014. The majority of her time in practice has been in Primary Care. She earned her Master's Degree in PA Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from Temple University. She has experience working in cardiology, family practice, urgent care, and internal medicine with significant experience in the management of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. She is able to draw from her previous experiences to provide comprehensive patient-centered care. PA Gallagher strives to understand each patient as an individual and tailor a plan to help them achieve their personal health goals. She is passionate about preventative medicine and committed to staying up to date on the best treatments for managing chronic diseases and optimizing health.

Leah Martin, PA-C, received her graduate degree at Touro College School of Health Sciences. She enjoys the primary care setting where she can develop a long term rapport with her patients.

PA Ochoa-Alvarez joined CHEMED after working in the Adult Medicine/Urgent Care arena. A graduate of Rutgers Physician Assistant program, PA Ochoa-Alvarez also holds a Masters in Molecular Biology from UMDNJ.

NP Rebecca Sheinfeld, a highly experienced nurse practitioner, works with each patients? unique needs and values and helps them to improve and manage their physical and emotional health. She has gained a reputation as one who shows empathy, concern and devotion to all her patients. She is passionate about educating and empowering her patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Juanita M. Smith, AGPCNP, BC joins CHEMED with over 50 years of experience, including more than 30 years working alongside Dr. Shua-Haim. She specializes in treating geriatric patients using a holistic approach. Juanita has co-authored two articles in peer-reviewed journals and has conducted 25 clinical trials in the field of Alzheimer's disease.
