Dr. Lauren Picciotto, DDS, MPH has been working at CHEMED for 11 years and has served as the director for over 3 years. She received her dental degree from New York University in 2011 and earned her Master of Public Health from Rutgers in 2014, with a concentration in Dental Science. Dr. Picciotto is active in the local and national dental associations putting emphasis on continuing education and skill development. She is very proud of the quality dental care her team delivers to the Lakewood community.

Dr. Harvey Atlas is a highly experienced dentist with over 43 years of practice in Manhattan. A graduate of Columbia University (BA, 1974) and NYU College of Dentistry (DDS, 1977), Dr. Atlas is deeply committed to educating his patients about the importance of dental care and prevention. He believes in empowering patients to take charge of their oral health, feeling personally invested in their well-being. When necessary, he refers patients to specialists to ensure they receive the best possible care. Dr. Atlas is dedicated to making sure every patient leaves his office feeling better and with a greater understanding of how to protect their smile.

Dr. Chaim Dworkin joined CHEMED 10 years ago, bringing over 30 years of experience in private practice, including his own successful practice in Baltimore, MD. He received his dental degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and completed a general practice residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Dworkin is a dedicated family man with ten children, and he continues to treat them and their families, much like he does with many of his patients from Baltimore and Lakewood.

Svetlana Orit Faradjewa, DDS graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2021 and focuses on general restorative and esthetic dentistry. She has completed advanced training in esthetic restorations, veneers, and full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Faradjewa believes in providing personalized, compassionate treatment. Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and supported in their journey to better oral health.

Dr. Daniel Friedman, DDS, is a general dentist with a focus on providing restorative dental care for patients of all ages. He earned his BS from Touro College and his DDS from Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM). Dr. Friedman completed his residency at Phelps Hospital and has been practicing at CHEMED Health Center for the past two years. He specializes in general restorative dentistry and is committed to delivering high-quality care with a personalized approach for each patient.

Dr. Marilyn Gittleman graduated from Boston University Dental School in 1986. With more than 25 years of experience in dentistry, she has been practicing at CHEMED for over 15 years. Prior to this, she worked in private practice in Boston and New Jersey and gained valuable experience at the Ocean County Health Department. Dr. Gittleman has always enjoyed working with children, taking pride in fostering their dental health and creating a positive, friendly environment that encourages a lifelong commitment to oral hygiene.

Dr. Ellen Goldberg graduated from NYU College of Dentistry and completed her residency at Peninsula General Hospital. With over 25 years of experience, she enjoys practicing dentistry in a community setting.

Oana Opariuc, DDS is a general dentist at CHEMED Health Center. A graduate of the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, she went on to complete a dental general practice residency at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Prior to joining CHEMED, she served patients at the New York Hotel Trades Council and DC 37 in New York City, as well as other private offices in NJ and NY, treating both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr Opariuc has also worked in other community centers and has experience in treating special needs patients.
Dr Opariuc is attending to a wide range of conditions, performing procedures from simple restorations, fixed and removable prosthetics, to implant restorations, root canals and extractions.
In all these settings, her approach is gentle, prioritizing the well-being of her patients, listening to their needs and providing quality and ethical dental care.

Dr. Patel joined CHEMED with over 15 years of dental care experience. Dr. Patel is a graduate of SUNY, Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Lutheran Medical Center, Santa Barbara, CA, Eastside Family Dental Clinic.

Dr. Abe Saff is a proud graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and has been enjoying private practice for many years. Originally from New York, he attended Baruch College and graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology. Dr. Saff enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially treating children. In dental school, he earned a Certificate of Merit, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral student award. Dr. Saff approaches each patient as an individual and provides detailed care in everything he does.

Hillel Ziegler DDS, MD is currently an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Downstate School of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY.
At CHEMED, he focuses on dental extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and other minor oral surgery procedures. He is committed to patient-centered care, focusing on clear communication, education, and helping patients fully understand their treatment options.

Dr. Yvette Zimering, DMD, MS graduated from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine before going on to receive her Postdoctoral M.S. in Prosthodontics from the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Zimering worked at Brigham & Women's Hospital and has experience in the private practice setting as well. She has authored numerous publications and presentations and is the recipient of various awards and honors for her work.

Dr. Matthew Dawley is a highly trained general dentist with a focus on dentoalveolar surgery, specializing in tooth extractions. Originally from New Hampshire, Dr. Dawley has pursued an extensive education across the country, earning a Biochemistry degree from the University of Oklahoma, a Master?s in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame, a Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Florida, and a Doctorate in Medicine from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. Before transitioning to dentistry, he worked as a public high school science teacher, a background that fuels his passion for educating patients about their dental health. Whether working with adults or children, Dr. Dawley takes the time to ensure his patients fully understand their care and feel comfortable with the treatment process. His commitment to patient education and personalized care sets him apart in the field of dentistry.
