He has been providing psychotherapy for over 20 years. He works with adults and specializes in Marriage Therapy, the Treatment for Anxiety and Depressive Disorders and has been leading DBT skills training groups for over 10 years. He has been extensively trained in a variety of modalities such as CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, IFS and RLT. He has created ?Quieting the Noisy Brain" a six-session intervention program for anxiety disorders based on Dr. Reid Wilson's model and has successfully taught individuals the skills needed to help them alleviate and manage their anxiety.

Irene has joined the Chemed Behavioral Health team since 2002, and is passionate about the FQHC model which offers comprehensive health care to the community. In addition to psychotherapy and supervision tasks, Irene participates in the Behavioral Health Consulting Program at Chemed. This program is designed to provide mental health support in real time to patients who present to the other departments with mental health symptoms and stressors. Irene often coordinates with Chemed?s expert Psychiatry team which is a tremendous and important resource to Chemed?s patients and the community.
Irene has also represented Chemed on the LACADA (Local Advisory Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse), Ocean county since 2023.

Specializing in anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, and trauma, Yaacov?s therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a strong commitment to individualized care. Currently, he serves as an intake specialist at Chemed, where he also provides clinical supervision to interns and other therapists, ensuring quality and compassionate care across the team.
