Dr. Lauren Picciotto has been a dedicated member of the CHEMED Dental Department for 11 years and has served as its Director for more than three years. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and her Master of Public Health from Rutgers University, with a concentration in Dental Science.

Dr. Picciotto is committed to growing the department and expanding services at the new River location. Her public health background reinforces her strong emphasis on preventive care and on broadening services to better meet the needs of the community. She is deeply proud of the high-quality dental care her team provides to the Lakewood area.

Dr. Harvey Atlas is a highly experienced dentist with over 43 years of practice in Manhattan. A graduate of Columbia University (BA, 1974) and NYU College of Dentistry (DDS, 1977), Dr. Atlas is deeply committed to educating his patients about the importance of dental care and prevention. He believes in empowering patients to take charge of their oral health, feeling personally invested in their well-being. When necessary, he refers patients to specialists to ensure they receive the best possible care. Dr. Atlas is dedicated to making sure every patient leaves his office feeling better and with a greater understanding of how to protect their smile.

Dr. Chaim Dworkin joined CHEMED 10 years ago, bringing over 30 years of experience in private practice, including his own successful practice in Baltimore, MD. He received his dental degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and completed a general practice residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Dworkin is a dedicated family man with ten children, and he continues to treat them and their families, much like he does with many of his patients from Baltimore and Lakewood.

Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and supported in their journey to better oral health.

Dr. Daniel Friedman, DDS, is a general dentist dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. He earned his BS from Touro College and his DDS from the Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM). Dr. Friedman completed his residency at Phelps Hospital and has been practicing at CHEMED Health Center for the past three years, where he has built strong and trusting relationships with his patients.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Friedman has taken on an expanded leadership role within the River team, helping guide clinical quality and driving patient-centered care.

Dr. Marilyn Gittleman graduated from Boston University Dental School in 1986. With more than 25 years of experience in dentistry, she has been practicing at CHEMED for over 15 years. Prior to this, she worked in private practice in Boston and New Jersey and gained valuable experience at the Ocean County Health Department. Dr. Gittleman has always enjoyed working with children, taking pride in fostering their dental health and creating a positive, friendly environment that encourages a lifelong commitment to oral hygiene.

Oana Opariuc

Oana Opariuc, DDS is a general dentist at CHEMED Health Center. A graduate of the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, she went on to complete a dental general practice residency at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Prior to joining CHEMED, she served patients at the New York Hotel Trades Council and DC 37 in New York City, as well as other private offices in NJ and NY, treating both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr Opariuc has also worked in other community centers and has experience in treating special needs patients.
Dr Opariuc is attending to a wide range of conditions, performing procedures from simple restorations, fixed and removable prosthetics, to implant restorations, root canals and extractions.
In all these settings, her approach is gentle, prioritizing the well-being of her patients, listening to their needs and providing quality and ethical dental care.

Originally from New York, he attended Baruch College and graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology. Dr. Saff enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially treating children. In dental school, he earned a Certificate of Merit, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral student award.
