Barry Kohn, MD, Ph.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Kohn comes to CHEMED from fourteen years as a Medical Director at Emblem Health (formerly HIP Health Plan). Dr. Kohn’s focus has been on quality control and disease prevention and his experience includes the management of case management and disease management services. Prior to his joining HIP, Dr. Kohn had a private practice in Internal Medicine and gastroenterology for 14 years. Dr. Kohn received his MD from the State University of New York Medical School and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the City University of New York with a masters in chemistry from Columbia University.
Dr. Daniela Baldi, graduate of Rome University Medical School. Besides her Internal Medicine training, Dr. Baldi also completed training in Pathology and Psychiatry. She has more than 10 years experience working throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Dr. Janet Byrne, a graduate of UMDNJ medical school and residency at Hackensack Medical Center and UMDNJ. Dr. Byrne has extensive experience, including working as the staff physician for Merrill Lynch & Co and as a student health physician for Rutgers University.
Dr. Lawrence Shoner, Internal Medicine Director, board certified in Internal Medicine. He received a Masters in Science in physiology and toxicology from Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Shoner has more than 20 years experience seeing patients as the personal physician for top-level executives at a Fortune 500 company.
Dr. Alan Zbik, Diplomate to the American Board of Internal Medicine is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Zbik completed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He has worked in private practice for over 25 years.
