The pediatric team includes:
Dr. Cynthia Barabas, FAAP. Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Barabas's postgraduate training was at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where she was a Fellow in child abuse and neglect. She has a particular expertise in breastfeeding and is certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.
Dr. Joanna Beizem, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a graduate of SUNY Downstate University Hospital, where she also completed her residency. Dr. Beizem, a new mother, has exceptional communication skills with her young patients and their parents.
Dr. Eli Eilenberg, graduate of New York Medical College, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Eilenberg comes to Lakewood from more than 30 years in private practice in Brooklyn, NY. He is well-known throughout the Lakewood community for giving his patients the time and care that they need to discuss any concerns they may have.
Dr. Chaim Kaweblum, Pediatrics Director and long-time Lakewood resident. He is a graduate of UMDNJ and completed his residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he later worked in the Neo-natal ICU. Dr. Kaweblum currently also works in the pediatric emergency room at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He speaks four languages, including Yiddish and Spanish.
